Continuing on in August!

Well it's been a while since I last posted to this blog. Really, there are no excuses but I have finally submitted 2 other MA projects which took a lot longer to organise than I expected. Finally, I have installed Adobe Flash CS5.5 on my laptop and I am starting to get a design together for my project which I talked to Katina about a few months ago. I am really hoping I can now get this done before the September 30th deadline - I wonder how everyone else is doing!I have decided to keep things fairly simple to start with; really I need to see if the idea will work. I hope to be able to possibly expand on the basic idea for my  MA dissertation. Briefly, the idea is to construct an online simulation for the control lines for a sailboat so that new sailors can familiarise themselves with their location and what they do before they actually get on the boat. For the initial model, I am going to start with the major lines for the main two sails, the main and the jib and test how well the basic premis works for the students (as we discussed in my recent tutorial).
